A flower a day for May,7

A change of colour today – the sparkle of white of Smilacina racemosa aka Maianthemum racemosa- the False Spikenard. It’s a member of the lily family, is scented, needs no staking, seems pest free in my garden and flowers reliably every May. Oh, and doesn’t mind shade. Ticks a lot of boxes. This specimen is part of a decent sized clump now- about 80×80 cms and stands about the same high. It brightens up a corner under a tall pine tree beautifully.
